When you use bayarealeadremoval.com, you may hand over personal details. This page covers where they go.
Bay Area Lead Removal refers requests to CSLB-licensed lead pros. It is not the business that shows up to do the job.

The information involved
- What you enter in the contact or request form: name, phone, email, the service selected and your message. Answers about your role (homeowner, landlord) and the approximate age of the building are included. A consent record is saved with each request, showing the exact text you agreed to, its version and a timestamp.
- If you use the chat box, we keep what you type and what the assistant answers, plus a session ID in your browser's temporary storage. Anything you leave there, such as a phone number, is saved with your request.
- Telephone: when you call (628) 301-4165 we note your caller ID, the time and the call length. The greeting warns that calls may be recorded. Answered calls may be recorded, and voicemail is converted to text.
- Our server keeps basic logs of each visit (page, IP address, referrer, browser). Google Fonts delivers the fonts, so Google sees your IP address too. We do not use tracking pixels for advertising.
Health details
Medical or health information (a blood lead level, say) should not go in the request form, the chat or a voicemail.
We do not need it to connect you with a pro, and we are unable to give medical advice.
What we do with it
Your information is used to match your request with CSLB-licensed lead pros and to reply to you.
Other uses: recording your consent, stopping spam and bots, and improving how the site works.
Who receives your information
Each request is forwarded to no more than three CSLB-licensed lead pros, with your name, phone, email and message.
Those pros are separate companies; after they receive your information, their own policies govern what they do with it.
We also rely on service providers for hosting, phone and text delivery, email, and the AI language model behind the chat assistant. They process data for us only as necessary to provide those services.
We will disclose information if legally required, and when needed to handle fraud, abuse or security threats.
Pros can pay for the requests or calls we send them. If your state counts that as selling personal information, the state section below tells you how to opt out.
Contact from us and from pros
By checking the consent box you agreed that no more than three pros may reach out to you by phone, text and email about your request, including with automated technology.
Agreeing is optional, and standard message and data rates may apply.
Send STOP to end texts from a sender, or HELP for assistance. Each sender must be told separately.
Retention
We keep chat logs, call logs and website visit logs for 24 months, and then erase them.
Requests and the record of your consent are kept for 5 years, which lets us show that you consented, and are then deleted or stripped of identifying details.
Ask us if you want yours removed earlier.
Security
We use reasonable measures to safeguard the information we hold.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we are unable to guarantee absolute protection.
Children
Bay Area Lead Removal is meant for adults; it is not aimed at anyone under 13.
We do not knowingly gather data from children, and will erase it if we learn we have.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it or erase it, and ask us to stop passing your information to pros.

California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may give you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to erase it; to correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and to be free from discrimination for using these rights.
In the last 12 months we collected these categories: identifiers and contact details (name, phone, email, IP address), the service you asked about and your message, internet activity (pages viewed), and chat or call records. We collect them from you and from your browser, and we use them for the purposes listed above.
We disclose identifiers, contact details and your request to the contractors who receive it. Because they may pay for that access, this may count as a "sale" under California law. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone under 16. To opt out of any sale, use the contact page or call us and say "do not sell my information".
