Bay Area Lead Removal is a referral service. People who have a lead question tell us what they need, and we refer them to a contractor who holds an active California contractor license.
We are not a contractor. We do not carry out inspections, abatement, repairs, cleanup or testing. We do not quote prices, we do not negotiate for anyone, and we do not sign contracts on anyone's behalf. You talk to the contractor directly, sign with them directly, and pay them directly.
We only refer visitors to contractors whose California license we have checked is active. We still ask you to check it yourself at cslb.ca.gov, because it is public and quick, and because lead work also involves a California Department of Public Health certification you can ask about.
We are neither a government office nor a law firm. Where a rule is complicated, we say so and point to the source rather than guess.
